Having moved from Dubai, Shy now spends her days cracking ideas and making ads in fickle-but-sunny Melbourne as an Associate Creative Director. A writer’s writer, she does slam poetry, stand-up comedy and is currently working on her first poetry anthology and fantasy novel. She is the producer and host of Funny For Comedy, and has performed at Adelaide Fringe, Melbourne Comedy Festival and produced Brown Women Comedy at Edinburgh Fringe in 2024. She has competed att Poetry Slams in Australia and England after taking home first place at Slama-lama and Slam-O-Vision 2023.

As a runner-up at the Young Cannes Lions Middle East and a Cannes Lions two and a half-time winner, Shy has honed her craft at agencies like Thinkerbell and Ogilvy, working with brands such as Coca-Cola, Mondelez, Samsung, BUPA, insert every auto or gaming brand known to nerds and heaps more.

Currently, Shy is on a mission to use her creativity for her activism, when she’s not making cool ads.
